Confusion in the World

“I hear confusion.”
The dad said as he cried facing his transgender son on Dr. P.
Dr. P proceeds to try and convince the father “what if”, “what if your son is actually a woman in a male’s body?”
He’s right. The dad was.
The devil wants to use the world to lie to us.
To confuse us.
He’s the devil of confusion.
We are being expected by the world to believe that this is normal behavior.
To be convinced that this is OK.
I'm not denying the feelings or the pain of anyone, but I am denying blatant disobedience as goodness (Romans 1).
Asking that we step up to be the hands and feet to not just a broken generation, but a broken people.
Older generations have a lot of knowledge and I’ll also admit older generations haven’t always done the best job of loving us younger generations through it all the time, but the point is that no one is perfect.
They have definitely done our best to try and stop us from the sin of ourselves and for that I am SO grateful.
We all have had moments where we missed the mark when it comes to loving ourselves or others when needed most. It’s because we are each human and challenged by life in different ways.
We each have a story and our own temptations, both similar and different than one another.
We are all learning.
We need to have grace and patience for ourselves and for those who think differently than us.
We all have flaws to address (Matthew 7:3-5).
I’d ask for grace, mercy, and love for these younger generations as we deal with circumstances that are totally different and in a ways maybe even darker than what others around us might have dealt with.
We all have different experiences and different demons to battle.
Grace, mercy, and love doesn’t mean accepting sin.
It means listening, loving on, and being there for someone during their pain all while praying that they’ll find a way out of it because it IS hard.
We need to let God be the guiding light while being there for those in hardship.
You can live with boundaries as a Christian.
You can live with hope in dark times or when faced with dark mistakes.
You can have mercy for yourself and others when things get hard.
You can also plant your foot in the dirt and say “no” when you need to stand your ground.
You can.
We need the love, grace, patience, mercy, and boundaries for ourselves and for others in our lives.
The way Jesus comes to each of us so should our presence be to the those around us.
Hands and feet.
Ephesians 2:10
"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
John 13:34
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
