Music Monday: "Ghost in my Mind" by j'san & Epektase (Lofi Records)

If you know my friends and I then you know this is on in the background of most of our lives. Between Chillhop and Lofi Girl we have some version of the music playing in the background almost all the time whether it be a drive, early in the morning, late at night, going to bed, studying, playing games, talking... you name it and we have probably listened to Chillhop while... well... chilling. We have all been big Chillhop fans since college. If I were to classify it, Chillhop is the chill sister to House music and the upbeat more technical cousin to classical music (I've even heard the LOR soundtrack in Lofi... will share below). I have used it to start of a small group or wake me up during a work day and it is the thing that I listen to more than any other kind of music. I've even listened to the Asian version while on the train in Japan, with both jazz and Asian notes to it, it can easily take you on a journey whether fictional or non-fictional to another land.

It is ultimately and easily my favorite kind of music even though I tend to have many favorites. :)

Something to know about chill music is that the songs are relatively short and all with similar beats. I recommend not just the song I am sharing with you now, but the whole album. I am also going to share a couple of my favorite places to listen though I use a different source almost daily from Youtube live.
